The Right to Information Act 2005 is an Act of Parliament that received the assent of the President of India on the 15th of June, 2005.
RTI Act 2005 aims to provide for setting up of a practical regime of right to information for the citizens of India to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
